The landscape project provides for the implementation of new green and pedestrian crossings on a local scale and better accessibility. It is based on three particularities of the site: the heterogeneity of the layout of the green space boundaries, the elongated shape of the plot, and the coexistence of differentiated spaces: the private garden, the building and the public park.
To unify the boundary’s appearance, an axial pattern inspired by the geological imprint of winding river structures and enlarges the space. This layout generates new surfaces: monospecific plant beds that assemble and intertwine like pieces of a puzzle, creating winding pathways that connect the various entrances. This pattern becomes the central decorative element of the project.
The public garden and the private garden take on distinct forms.
The former is organized around two intertwined curves, allowing for a stroll whose rhythm varies depending on the situation and the walkers. The path can be more or less direct, offering both a brisk and a more tranquil walk. The alternation between “fast” and “slow” curves gives this park its unique character, both aesthetically and spatially.
The design of the private garden takes advantage of the elongated shape of the plot to enhance the depth of the landscape. The subtly winding curve reinforces the impression of length and distance. This trompe-l’œil perspective transforms the cul-de-sac into a true passage, creating a sense of openness.
