2024 ASLA Professional Awards Winners
The ASLA Awards celebrate excellence in landscape architecture, recognizing outstanding projects across categories like General Design, Residential Design, Urban Design, and more. These awards highlight innovative and sustainable projects that improve the quality of life, promote ecological resilience, and address pressing societal challenges. The awards are judged by a distinguished jury of professionals in the field, who evaluate projects for creativity, environmental stewardship, and community impact and most represent the ideas behind the American Association for Landscape Architects.
In General Design Category the recipients of the 2024 ASLA Honor Awards are:
– African Ancestors Memorial Garden by Hood Design Studio for the City of Charleston

for the Ministry of Finance, Thailand
– Alpine Garden and Amphitheater by Z’scape for HYLLA
– EcoCommons – Social and Ecological Resilience in the Campus Landscape by Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects for Georgia Institute of Technology
– Tom Lee Park: “Come to the River” by SCAPE / Landscape Architecture and Studio Gang for Memphis River Parks Partnership
– The Bay: “One Park for All” in Sarasota by Agency Landscape + Planning for The Bay Park Conservancy
– Sandy Hook Memorial: The Clearing by SWA Group for Town of Newtown, CT
– St. John’s Terminal: An Ecology for Technology and Innovation by Future Green Studio for Google, Oxford Properties Group
– Louisiana Children’s Museum: A Joyous Landscape in City Park by Mithun for Louisiana Children’s Museum
In Urban Design Category the Award of Excellence was granted to Atlanta BeltLine by Perkins&Will and the Honor Awards were received by MKSK, Inc., Michael Vergason Landscape Architects, Ltd., Turenscape and Omni Workshop.
In the Residential Design Category, the Honor Award recipients are
– Uliveto and Trinity Road by Surfacedesign, Inc.
– Highbank: The Restoration of a Lost Prairie and Nurturing Nature in the Mile High City by Design Workshop, Inc.
– House on the Bluff by LaGuardia Design Group,
– La Fénix at 1950 by GLS Landscape | Architecture
