The concept of a plant palette, alongside traditional planting, introduces a variety of plant forms and species designed to meet the expectations of residents as well as those involved in the development of public spaces.
Indeed, the need for nature is essential for city dwellers. With the rapid urbanisation of our cities, it is becoming imperative to preserve existing green spaces while creating new green spaces. The shortage of space in urban areas is stimulating innovation in plant solutions, encouraging the emergence of new plant forms, particularly climbing plants, which stand out as a viable alternative to planting trees.
These plants, which present few constraints in terms of planting, grow rapidly, making them crucial tools for the expansion of this new plant palette. Thanks to their rapid growth, these plants are not only water-efficient, they can also thrive in areas with little land. They are therefore ideal for narrow areas, the edges of buildings, or for restoring previously landscaped areas. For example, a Babylone mast can be planted on a surface area of just 50×50 cm.
Aréa has developed a complete, modular range of elements such as masts, porticos and pergolas. These structures make it possible to design tailor-made layouts, adapted to the specific needs of each space, while enhancing its value in record time. Thanks to these innovations, it is possible to quickly transform an urban space into a veritable haven of greenery, responding to the growing demand for more nature in the urban environment.
