The campus ‘Am Eichholz’ in Arnsberg is very centrally located in the city centre and directly on the banks of the Ruhr. Several schools (secondary school/vocational college) are located here. The schoolyard of the secondary school and the area around the gymnasium on the other side of the Ruhr have been redesigned in recent years and qualified as contemporary, attractive open spaces. The task now is to redesign the access axis, the educational meadow and the entrance to the vocational college.

The new, car-free educational campus at the vocational college in Arnsberg stretches from the vocational college to the Ruhr. Students and cyclists on the Ruhr Valley cycle path will be able to use the new facilities for breaks and exercise. There are facilities for resting as well as for exercising: The seating deck and a callisthenics facility. The large, open educational meadow is a good contrast to the linear campus walk. The campus walk connects the schoolyards of the vocational college and the secondary school. The imposing tree at the entrance to the campus has been preserved and integrated into the design.
